The infallible ability to impress irrevocably upon a large portion of the English-speaking public the difference between the sounds "een," as in "keen," "bean," "lysine," etc. (though not--and I cannot stress this enough--as in "walking," "talking," "working," etc.), and the sound "ing," as in "ring," "thing," "sing," etc. (and as in, well, "walking," "talking," "working," etc.).

ereg(i)_replace to work consistently (zero or more quantifier only finding one character?). preg_replace to stop mocking me (what delimiter?) and work as i expect, similar to the above so i can use it instead. search for two consecutive line breaks and actually match anything. someone to tell me about the existance of regular expresions "n" years ago. pie. lots of pie.

Now that i've had some time to think: Mats Sundin's name on the Stanley Cup, the ability to look forward to social engagements instead of worrying about being "on," one of Glenn Gould's Steinways (the one in the National Capital Library is just sitting there), to be a better sight reader, Fahrvegnugen and the ability to type in German, to appear on Jeopardy, to see a bullfight, and to once again have a discernible jawline. oh - and to stay with nancy for a long, long time.
